Heat Yoga is a beautifully designed space located at the Arts & Industrial Estate in Byron Bay. It’s also the only heated yoga studio in the area (feels so good in here on a chilly winter’s day). Classes include Bikram Yoga, Yin Yoga, Barre, Vinyasa Yoga and more. For a challenge we recommend Hot Pilates that really kicks your butt into the gear – these are low-impact high-intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts that are super fun and intense. Another highlight is the Roll & Release class focused on releasing myofascia using a foam roller – excellent for reducing pain, improving flexibility and deep relaxation. As well, they offer Private Yoga Training for individuals and small groups.
Inside Heat Yoga feels serene, spacious and luxurious. There’s luxury amenities, male and female restrooms, changing areas and plenty of lockers. It’s also where to find Byron Bay Yoga Mats, eco water bottles and sustainable yoga wear. All classes work for the beginners to the experienced practitioner but if you can’t make it to the studio, explore their online classes.
What we Love
Heat Yoga offer the original authentic Bikram Yoga sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. We also love that the infrared heat makes it easier to stretch and increases flexibility.
What’s not to Love
For those with low blood pressure and/or sensitivity to heat, you may find the heat challenging at first. If this sounds like you, we suggest you take it slow.
